Portland Maine Permaculture members David Homa and Gretchen Voight recently launched a new project called Resilient Roots. Resilient Roots aids in the development of sustainable food systems such as community and school gardens, as well as cooperative root cellars that satisfy the need of access to fresh, healthy and affordable food. We empower members of the community to build gardens and acquiring skill sets that touch upon permaculture design and topics such as; Agroforestry, Livestock, Energy, Natural Building, Rainwater/greywater, Soil, Holistic Healing and Food Preservation.
